Design Projects

At the heart of every successful signage and wayfinding system lies a holistic design approach that considers both the present and future of a space. Our design process is rooted in a human-centered approach.

We analyze user behavior, spatial flows, and decision-making points, placing these research insights at the core of our wayfinding and signage design. Our goal is to create intuitive and sustainable wayfinding systems that deliver the right information at the right time and place, ensuring users navigate spaces seamlessly without getting lost.

Our design studio is where conceptual ideas transform into tangible, viable solutions. The process begins with concept development and progresses through advanced software techniques, innovative signage solutions, and meticulous material selection. Staying true to corporate identities and brand guidelines, our designs create a powerful impact through the strategic use of typography, color, and iconography.

Our multidisciplinary team bridges creative thinking with technical expertise and manufacturing experience. These bespoke signage designs maintain a perfect balance between form and function, seamlessly integrating into the architectural fabric. By maintaining open communication at every stage of the project, we collaborate closely with our clients to achieve accurate, consistent, and high-impact results.

01

Introduction

At the kick-off phase, our design team introduces themselves to the client and presents a comprehensive framework of the design process. This crucial step establishes a robust communication ground and clearly communicates our strategic approach to the project.

02

Project Brief

We conduct a detailed evaluation of the project goals, target audience, timeline, budget, and all specific requirements shared by the client. During this phase, project objectives are aligned, the final project schedule is established, and priority areas are identified. The design team asks targeted, guiding questions to ensure a flawless understanding of all deliverables.

03

Proposal & Contract Process

Based on the project brief and initial research findings, a comprehensive proposal outlining the scope of work, timeline, and budget details is prepared. Upon approval of the proposal, a formal contract is signed, officializing the collaboration between parties.

04

Review of Documents & Deliverables

To ensure a seamless workflow, a detailed request list is shared with the client. This list includes architectural plans, sections, elevations, corporate identity guidelines, color codes, and site imagery. Once all documentation is provided by the client, our technical team meticulously reviews the data and logs the finalized files, contacting the client for further clarification if necessary.

05

Research & Analysis for Signage and Wayfinding Systems

The design team conducts extensive research to gain a deeper understanding of the brand identity, target audience, and material preferences. During this stage, moodboards are curated and presented to the client, shaping the signage design concept in line with the feedback received. This research and analysis phase is a critical milestone that dictates the strategic direction of the entire project.

06

Design Concept Development

Our design team develops a tailor-made design concept that fulfills all project requirements and presents it to the client for review. The core focus of this phase includes determining typical sign typologies, grouping sign types to create coherent 'product families,' choosing material specifications, and defining the overall visual character of the signs. Wayfinding components are categorized under four main pillars—Identification, Information, Directional, and Regulatory—and their sub-variations are derived, establishing all required sign types for the project. The design team refines the concept based on client feedback until a final agreement on the wayfinding and signage design is reached.

07

Wayfinding & Signage Strategy

The objective of this stage is to formulate and develop a comprehensive wayfinding strategy. While the primary focus is on directional signs and wayfinding systems, other circulation elements are also integrated into the planning. Prioritize efficiency, the design team analyzes architectural layouts to logically zone the facility. Mapping user journeys, identifying decision-making points, defining main circulation routes, and determining key entry points are the core objectives of this step. Once the layout is systematically zoned, it becomes ready for the deployment of the most effective wayfinding strategy.

08

Signage and Wayfinding Design Implementation

The design team refines and details the visuals based on client feedback. In this phase, the final forms of the sign types are established, and signage manufacturing and installation methods are determined. Furthermore, strategic color selections are made to preserve a cohesive design identity across the architecture. Graphic design assets—including but not limited to typography, symbols, pictograms, icons, and arrow designs—are engineered to form a holistic visual identity. The final design is completed by incorporating any requested revisions.

09

Signage & Wayfinding Location Plan

Securing a seamless wayfinding experience requires mapping out user journeys and step-by-step progressions. We generate comprehensive sign location plans that mark the exact placements of each sign type on the floor layout, detailing where specific typologies are required to optimize user interaction with the space. The primary goal of this mapping is to deploy each sign at the right location with the correct function. During this distribution, a unique signage coding system is created. This matrix categorizes signs by their message type and assigns a non-repetitive, unique code to every individual unit. This phase dictates the precise process of matching the right message with the correct sign type, heavily influencing all subsequent manufacturing and installation activities.

10

BOQ (Bill of Quantities) Lists

As a direct output of the sign location plans, our design team compiles comprehensive signage BOQ (Bill of Quantities) lists. This ensures an exact, line-item count and specification breakdown of every single wayfinding element required for the project.

11

Message Schedule

A comprehensive message schedule is formulated for each sign distributed across the location plans, emphasizing its exact coordinate and function. Depending on the country of the project, bilingual options are provided, typically pairing the local language with the universal language (English). Alternatively, when minimizing text dependency is preferred, the wayfinding strategy heavily relies on non-verbal cues such as color-coding and universal symbols.

12

Presentation & Deliverables

The design team presents the finalized master design to the client, including all supporting documentation and technical packages required for implementation. Upon client sign-off, all necessary project files are delivered with full technical support to ensure absolute client satisfaction. The final delivery package comprises:

Deliverables:
  • Wayfinding & Signage Design Manual
  • Signage & Wayfinding Location Plan
  • Signage BOQ (Bill of Quantities) List
  • Signage Message Schedule
