Macro-Scale Campus Flow Analysis and Strategic Wayfinding Planning
Catering to hundreds of thousands of students, faculty members, and daily visitors, the sprawling Ataturk University campus demanded an urban-scale approach to spatial navigation. Our industrial design department engineered a synchronized interior and exterior wayfinding network from scratch. Focused on streamlining heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic flows between multiple faculties, research institutes, a major university hospital, and vast residential zones, we developed high-visibility layouts featuring universal symbols, multi-lingual scripts, and optimal contrast ratios suited for expansive open spaces.
Extreme-Climate Heavy Engineering and Advanced Material Manufacturing
Erzurum’s harsh continental climate—characterized by severe winter snow loads, extreme sub-zero freezing, and high UV exposure—demanded the absolute highest tier of material durability for all outdoor directional structures. Utilizing our high-capacity B2B production infrastructure, the outdoor monumental totems, illuminated main facades, and perimeter pylons were fabricated from heavy-duty, hot-dip galvanized steel sub-frames and corrosion-resistant alloys coated with anti-fading, weather-proof finishes. For the interior spaces, thousands of modular classroom door plaques, structural floor directories, suspended corridor signs, and 3D lobby logos were manufactured using impact-resistant, low-maintenance materials engineered to withstand heavy institutional public usage.
Structural Field Deployment and Flawless Cross-Campus Installation
The final phase of this monumental project involved the secure deployment of thousands of navigational units across the massive campus by our certified field crews. Outdoor monument structures were anchored safely utilizing precise wind-load and freezing-depth foundation calculations, while interior directional elements were meticulously mounted onto various historic and modern architectural wall surfaces without a single defect. By managing the design, production, and installation completely in-house under a single workflow, Yöntime has successfully delivered another massive milestone in university-scale turnkey architectural wayfinding.
